Product Description Organic Mother's Milk promotes healthy lactation* and is traditionally used to increase breastmilk production.* This traditional combination of anise, fennel and coriander has been used for centuries by European women, often recommended by lactation counselors and medical herbalists. Organic Mother's Milk is a pleasantly aromatic balance of sweet, spicy and slightly bitter.

A must have for breastfeeding kids August 25, 2010 Jiunjr Feng (Fremont, CA USA) My wife had issue to generate enough breast milk quickly for my new born baby. Parents can tell if the baby drinks breast milk from the begining, and he/she is hard to accept or even reject formula. We purchased this oranic mother's milk after my friend's suggestion. It tasted not that well, and my wife took 2 weeks to get use into it. However, it does work to improve the production, so I got less complain about kid's breast milk issue.
GOOD STUFF August 4, 2010 alenochek i love this tea! and it really works! if you drink 4-5 cups, you get more milk in 2 days!
Evaluate your entire lactation profile. July 21, 2010 C. Roberts (Los Angeles) First of all, I really don't like the flavor of black licorice, but the taste in this tea was not overpowering. I was able to drink it just fine.
I was worried about making enough milk to feed my baby and to store for when I returned to work, so I started drinking this tea. I would brew a whole box, stick it in the fridge and sip glasses throughout the day. The box recommends that you drink 3-5 cups per day. So one box (16 bags) will last 3-5 days.
I didn't notice a huge change in my milk supply with this product. I drank the tea for about 10 days before my midwife recommended I start fenugreek supplements. I tried fenugreek capsules as well as More Milk Special blend AND I upgraded to hospital grade pump. I noticed a significant increase in the number of dirty diapers my baby made when I started the supplements. However, I did not pump a lot of extra milk until I upgraded my pump.
My point is that you really need to evaluate your overall lactation profile (I just made up that term, I don't know if anyone else calls it that.) I recommend the book "The Breastfeeding Mother's Guide to Making More Milk" by Diana West. It covers all the reasons you may not be making enough milk and many strategies on how to tackle your issues. I found it very comprehensive.
The tea is not a bad option. I gave it 4 stars because the company doesn't make any promises about milk supply, it tastes alright and the price is right. If you just want a little boost or if you are sensitive to any sort of pharmaceutical (herbs are drugs too!) starting with this tea might be a good option for you. I really think you should also speak to a lactation consultant if you can. Or find a breastfeeding support group in your area.
Happy nursing!!
Great for nusing moms. June 25, 2010 Oscar S. This tea tastes great if you enjoy fennel flavour. I really believe this has helped me produce more milk. I have a 5 month old and have noticed a steady increase in my milk production. This tea does take 10 minutes to steep. It tastes great with honey. I drink about 2 to 3 cups a day.
Pass the honey... June 20, 2010 E. Dykstra It's a good thing this tea actually works as it's supposed to... because it tastes so, SO bad! I went from pumping 8 oz/day at work to 11 oz/day by the end of a week, and that was only using the tea twice a day. I'm not a tea fan to start with, and this has a very strong anise flavor... also not a favorite. With enough honey, I can tolerate it. The results are worthwhile.
